100 years since the establishment of the Bulgarian National Sports Federation, prof. Lozan Mitev
8th National Olympic Conference
“The role of sport in school for moral education in civic virtues” On 12 and 13 September in the town of Chepelare was held a significant pedagogical forum of 68 physical education teachers from 30 cities across the country. The task of the conference was to examine and discuss ways to promote the moral education of students by developing initiatives and methodologies for the pedagogical process that teachers can use to build virtues in the behavior of students.More information here
Olympic camp NSA 2023
From 14 to 18 August, an Olympic camp was held at the NSA. The camp brought together children of different ages and within one week united them in the name of Olympic values. During the vacation, the children learned about the power of fire, the power of friendship and fair play.

Thomas Bach visited the NSA Olympic Study Center
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee and the 40th anniversary of the National Olympic Academy of Bulgaria on 18 May 2023 the Olympic Study Center of the NSA was visited by Mr. Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee. As a recipient of the honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa of the Academy, Mr. Bach emotionally exclaimed, “I am happy to return to my university!”. Impressed by the Centre’s museum exhibition, presented by prof. Lozan Mitev “Heartfelt thanks and congratulations to the NSA – my university – for promoting Olympic values in such a superb way. Best wishes for a brilliant future for Olympic sport in Bulgaria.”
41 Session for young participants and 11 Session for teachers of PE and S of NOA of Bulgaria
The Olympic Academy of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee, in cooperation with the National Sports Academy “Vasil Levski” organizes 41 sessions for young participants and 11 sessions for teachers of physical education and sport, which will be held from 8-11 June 2023. Ravda Base Water Sports NSA “Vasil Levski”.
Teachers of Physical Education and Sport who have an interest in Olympism and excellence in the field of sports education of students are invited to participate. The quota for participants from each PTA in Bulgaria is 5 representatives.
We extend the deadline for submissions to the "Virtues in Sport" competition
Dear friends, this year a large number of schools from all over the country took part in the “Virtues in Sport” competition. At the request of teachers, we are extending the deadline for submitting materials a little.You will have until June 1, 2023 to prepare additional materials with your students in each of the three areas – literature, fine arts and film. For the first year we also received a model made by a graduate of Radomir School. We will be glad to see every work and creative initiative created by our graduates in the name of virtues in sport.

40 years NATIONAL OLYMPIC ACADEMY OF BULGARIA

On this day 40 years ago, a group of students came together with a common idea, a common goal! On May 17, 1983 the foundation of the National Olympic Academy of Bulgaria was given! Today, the people who founded the NOA Bulgaria so many years ago, who created so much joy, emotion and most of all inspiration are together again and continue to give their all for the children of Bulgaria. National Olympic Academy of BOC is one of the oldest Olympic Academies in the world, but more importantly it is one of the academies with the most sustainable development and consistency. This is all due to the tremendous work of the volunteers who have become part of this idea all these years. Let us be proud of our 100 year old Olympic Committee and 40 year old Olympic Academy, because the culture we carry no one can take from us, because the spirit we are filled with no one can take from us, because no one can take away the strength we possess as heirs of great Bulgarians. Olympism will always be part of us and our deeds, that is why Bulgaria will always have worthy people to build the foundations of the future! Happy holiday friends!
SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE IN CONNECTION WITH 100 ANNIVERSARY OF BULGARIAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEE
On 30 March 2023, in honour of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee, a scientific conference “The Olympic Movement in Bulgaria – Traditions and Challenges of the Future” was held at the National Sports Academy “Vassil Levski”, organized by the National Olympic Academy (NOA).

NSA participates in Olympic sports celebrations in Etropole and Botevgrad
In implementation of the program of the cooperation agreement of the National Sports Academy “Vasil Levski” and the Regional Department of Education – Sofia region, two major Olympic sports celebrations were held – between all schools in the municipality of Etropole and the primary school “N. COMPETITION "VIRTUES IN SPORT""
The National Olympic Academy of BOC and the Olympic Teachers’ Society are organizing for the third consecutive year an art competition “The Virtues in Sport”. The competition will be held in three areas: drawing, short film and literary work. The aim of the competition is to spread and promote humane ideas through sport in schools. THE CHILDREN OF ETROPOLE PARTICIPATED IN AN OLYMPIC SPORTS CELEBRATION
Olympic Sports Festival “Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together” , organized by the municipality of Etropole and the Sofia Region RED, “Hristo Yasenov” School and NSA in the sports hall “Chavdar” – Etropole, brought together students from first to fourth grade from schools in the municipality for fun games interesting sports competitions. The event was held on 18.02.2023 under the patronage of the mayor of the town Dimitar Dimitrov.
The start of the 2023 Olympic school year gave the Radomir club the title
February 9, 2023 marks the 20th anniversary of Radomir Olympic Club. Our Olympic friends from the city, under the leadership of the beloved teacher Dorothea Andonova and member of the Council of the National Olympic Academy of Bulgaria, gave the start of the Olympic year 2023, in which we will celebrate both the 100th anniversary of the BOC and the 40th anniversary of the NOA.
Olympic and Educational Center in NSA "Vasil Levski"
On 12 December, with a water ceremony in the presence of the entire academic leadership, the Ministers of Education and Science prof. Sasho Penov. The newly built Educational and Olympic Center of the National Sports Academy “Vasil Levski” was officially opened with the participation of the Ministers of Education and Science, Prof. Sasho Penov and Minister of Youth and Sports Vesela Lecheva.

Olympic celebration in honor of Bulgaria's Independence Day
On 21 September 2022, a celebration was held in Radomir on the occasion of the Independence Day of Bulgaria. Club “Olympian” was at the heart of the organization and again showed us the power of unity.
The first organizational meeting of the Olympic Society of Teachers was held for the new school year
On September 13.2022 the first meeting of the Olympic Teachers Society for the new school year 2022/2023 was held online.
The meeting discussed future activities of the society as well as new ideas and initiatives from colleagues!

The Olympians enriched the monument of Vassil Levsi in Chicago
Members of the Olympic Club “Vassil Levski” in Chicago enriched the
bust-monument of the Apostle in the courtyard of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church “St. Ivan Rilski. The Olympians fixed the four walls of the pedestal with dowels, grouted all the edges with silicone, put the largeplaque with the inscription back in place, restored the broken tiles on the plaza in front of the monument and fixed the vases with geraniums that are placed on the sides of the monument, resembling the paws of a lion. Olympic Club members did all the work in about four hours.

Deserved recognition for Olympic Club Chicago
A plaque of appreciation for the many years of work in the field of Olympic education was presented to the Olympic Club of Chicago.
The plaque was presented during BOC’s National Olympic Academy in June 2022, but was placed in the hands of club members today.
With gratitude to all of you for your tremendous hard work and dedication to educating our generations in the values and virtues bequeathed to us by Baron Pierre de Coubertin.

Club Olympian - Radomir 18 July 2022
The 185th anniversary of the birth of Vassil Levski was celebrated in the town of. Radomir. The event included a Lion’s Leap in the garden of the ICIC – Europe, laying of wreaths and flowers in front of the bust-monument of the Apostle in the town and an honorary tour of Svoboda Square with the participation of children, youth and citizens. The organizers are the Radomir Municipality, the Radomir ICI and the Olimpiyets-Radomir Club.

If we had the opportunity to describe each edition of the Olympic holiday, this year we would certainly call it “The Invisible Forces of Spirit and Goodness”.Goodness is encoded in every young being, man is born with it and like a small flame must protect it from winds, storms and the elements.
Olympic Club Bosilegrad - Olympic Holiday 2022.
If every town had a soul and a heart, then the village of Izvor would be the heart of Bosilegrad.Once the center of the Bosilegrad district, today it is a village like most of the municipalities of Bosilegrad, ruins, fallen houses almost without people. However, there is something in the village of. Next to it rises the largest church in Bosilegrad – Holy Trinity – a unique architectural masterpiece, but it also suffers from the disease of the school – complete neglect.
The first impromptu picnic was made by the members of the Olympic Club “Vassil Levski” Chicago. The Olympians organized a sports celebration in the Bussy Wood Park located in the twin suburb of Chicago – Elk Grove. From early dawn, Dimitar Dudin, Rosen Kaptiyev, Galina Atanasova, Todor Cheshmedjiev and Nikolay Vassilev prepared the Olympic Village.

International Olympic Day in Etropole
The International Olympic Day was celebrated for the first time in Etropole. The initiative was taken by the teachers of the Secondary School “Hr. Yasenov”. The sports celebration started with the mystical lighting of the fire in the area of “The Brothers’ Mound”, from where the relay started. Learn more
Torchlight procession through the streets of Burgas
“Vassil Aprilov” Primary School in Burgas held a torchlight procession in honor of the International Olympic Day. Teachers, students and friends united to show the values and virtues bequeathed to us by Pierre de Coubertin to his fellow citizens. A bow to you, Clagues and friends.

“I pass on the Olympic flame pure and undefiled, I accept the Olympic flame and I promise to keep it pure and undefiled” these words rang out for the first time in the city of Lom in honor of June 23 – International Olympic Day. Thanks to the two graduates of the NSA “Vasil Levski” Daniela Borisova and Maria Tsocheva, the town was united in the name of peace, values and virtues that sport brings us.

On June 15, 2022 in Elin Pelin during the “Day of Sports” of the festive program of SHOPCHE CELEBRATION 2022 – “Remember the past, build the future, keep the tradition!” at 09:30 a.m. the relay run “SHOPCHE 2022” will start with the route. “Vitosha” – square. “Independence”. 10 schools on the territory of the municipality took part in it.

Olympic School Games Chavdar village 14.05.2022
On May 14, 2022, the Olympic School Games were held in the village of Chavdar. The event was hosted by Mrs. Maria Durcheva, Director of the Primary School “Sts. The official guests were the mayor of the town Mr. Grigor Daulov , the head of the RDE Sofia region Ms. Rositsa Ivanova, the chief expert on PVS Ms. Ani Spasova, prof. Lozan Mitev – chairman of the general assembly of the NSA and chairman of the NOA of the BOC and head as. Emilia Vitonava, lecturer in history of physical culture of NSA.

On 11.05.2022 at the NSA “Vasil Levski” was held a meeting between the students of SID “Olympism and Olympic Movement” and four of the great sports journalists of Bulgaria – Mr. Plamen Valkov, head of sports at “Mach Telegraf”, Mr. Georgi Banov, editor of the newspaper “24 Chasa”, Mr. Nikolay Krastev, editor-in-chief of the magazine “Sprint” and Mr. Todor Shabanski, press secretary of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee.
